IriusRisk launches new vision and brand initiative

Atlanta, US / London, UK / Madrid, Spain: IriusRisk, a global application security company, launches its new brand initiative to further its influence and footprint as the industry’s leading threat modeling platform for application security.

Launched online last week, IriusRisk continues to propel the practice of threat modeling across all verticals and promote the benefits of secure design within the DevSecOps community.

On the announcement, CEO and co-founder, Stephen de Vries, shares, “Our new brand, particularly our website, better communicates our mission and ethos as a company to help organisations shift security left within the software development lifecycle. The new site provides practical threat modeling resources for all teams, and experience levels., This equips them with the information and confidence they need to introduce security by design to their engineering processes and scale it across their organisation effectively”.

Since IriusRisk closed its first round of investment in 2017, it has experienced a significant evolution in size, reputation, and market share, which has attracted several authorities in threat modeling to join the company in key positions: Fraser Scott as VP, Product Development, and Dr. Gary McGraw as Technical Advisory Board Chair, advising alongside Adam Shostack. It plans further expansion and development of its teams, including a new R&D department, and reinforcement of its global sales and marketing functions to cement its status within new markets.

IriusRisk boasts several new functionalities in its latest releases, including a new ServiceNow integration, deeper integration with Threadfix, plus a plethora of standards library updates including FedRAMP, UNECE WP.29 Cybersecurity Regulation (CSMS) and Microservices and Kubernetes for Developers and DevOps. It also continues to develop its free Community Edition alongside its core product to enable people from across the cybersecurity and development communities to learn how to threat model using its embedded draw.io diagramming functionality and powerful automation and rules engine, containing a selection of its most pertinent security and compliance standards.
