The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre Funding Alert

The ECCC is absolutely committed to building a strong cybersecurity community within the EU. IriusRisk is a global, EU-based market leader in automated threat modeling that ensures applications are secure from the get-go. IriusRisk’s role in creating secure software has been recognized by the ECCC with funding for the free-forever community edition of IriusRisk.

About the ECCC

As their website states “The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) aims to increase Europe’s cybersecurity capacities and competitiveness, working together with a Network of National Coordination Centres (NCCs) to build a strong cybersecurity Community.”

They do so by polling recourses from the EU and its member states to make strategic investments that support innovative cybersecurity solutions.

About IriusRisk

IriusRisk is the Enterprise threat modeling tool that ensures the security of applications at the design phase. Started by Stephen and Christina back in 2015 to lead the security by-design shit in process IriusRisk has gone from strength to strength and its technology is used by the largest organizations in the world.

Part of IriusRisk’s mission is to “threat model all the things. Which is why we offer a free-forever community edition. This means that anyone with an email can threat model this second and all for free. This is combined with extensive resources and openly available training. Meaning that the health of Europe’s cyber Security is given a massive boost.

About the Project

The ECCC has recognized the innovation of IriusRisk’s software together with the company’s commitment to elevating the security of Europe and indeed the world’s software through their free-forever community edition. This recognition has seen a joint project whereby the ECCC are co-funding the free community edition so that IriusRisk can advance the solution and ever increase the number of people and organizations creating secure-by-design software.
